Your Role

As an underground miner, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of loaders and tele-remote boggers to transport waste rock and ore within the underground mining environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Bogging of development headings to stockpiles and haul trucks
  • Conducting regular equipment inspections and reporting faults
  • Performing road works and managing spillage and sump bogging
  • Maintaining high standards of work quality and safety compliance
  • Identifying and escalating opportunities for operational efficiency
  • Demonstrating strong safety leadership and environmental awareness

The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in underground mining
  • At least 2 years' loader operator experience
  • Strong knowledge of general mine services and safe working procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Manual aptitude and mechanical ability
  • Working knowledge of JSA systems
