Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As an Incident Response Specialist, you will be responsible for securing Amazon's cloud environment and responding to security incidents.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for experienced security professionals who want to work at the forefront of cloud security. You will collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats, develop and implement security protocols, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and assess security incidents, escalating as necessary
  • Communicate incident status to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate security threats

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++, as well as a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Familiarity with networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP is also required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security would be advantageous. Experience with AWS products and services, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ would also be beneficial.
