
Solar Power Maintenance Specialist

A talented Technician II is needed to join our team at a leading renewable energy company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
This is a full-time permanent position with a roster of 5/2 days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing modules and inverter components;
- Maintaining inverters and associated electrical components;
- Collaborating with the engineering team on SCADA systems;
- Responding promptly to and executing necessary repairs of faulty equipment;
- Managing subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions and daily pre-start meetings;
- Continuous reporting of work status and scheduling to senior management, including complete and detailed documentation of all work performed;
- WHS reporting and adherence to WHS protocols as established by policy;
- Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework;

- Ability to efficiently execute tasks, as defined by a maintenance plan;

- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills;
- Will to travel;
- Knowledge and experience in Solar Farm O&M, plant, and equipment;
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand plans, drawings, and specifications;
- Knowledge of current industry standards, specifications, industry best practice, and Australian Standards;
Essential Requirements
The following requirements must be met:
- Current Electrical License (unrestricted);
- Construction White Card;
- Current and Valid Driver's License;
- Valid First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue;
- Australian Work Rights;
- Trade Qualification – Electrical;
- Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers).
Desirable Requirements
The following requirements are desirable:
- High Voltage Switching – training can be provided;
- Will to travel to other projects if required.
