Stone Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Stone Labourer. As a Stone Labourer, you will be responsible for operating large saws to measure and cut cladding & blocks from quarry cut limestone.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating large saws to measure and cut cladding & blocks from quarry cut limestone
  • Picking and packing limestone products onto pallets and wrapping them securely
  • Operating a forklift to move stone around the yard
  • Manufacturing paving products
  • Cleaning and tidying the work area

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Physical ability to lift products up to 20kg
  • Confidence using hand & power tools
  • Able to work with urgency and accuracy
  • Understanding of safe work practices in manufacturing space
  • Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised
  • Current license and reliable transport
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • High attention to detail and an eye for detail

This is a causal opportunity initially, but full-time opportunities may become available after 6 months. Management opportunities may also be available in the medium term.

We prefer candidates with a Forklift licence, White Card, and Full Driver Licence.
