About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solicitor to join our Legislation team in the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality legal and legislative advice and services on a broad range of matters across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authoritative advice on complex legal, legislation and policy issues
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to deliver high-quality client-focused legal and legislation services
  • Prepare briefs and instruct counsel and external legal panel firms in complex and sensitive matters

  • Strong legal and legislative knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
