About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

  • Support the implementation of frameworks, policies and processes to manage operational risk and ensure compliance.
  • Drive quarterly risk owner reviews, assisting owners understand their risk profile and mitigating controls.
  • Evaluate, monitor and support subject matter experts with identified controls, including quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and review business risks to identify, assess and escalate changes in the profile.
  • Assist in compiling risk management reporting, including risk profiles and incident reports.
  • Deliver tailored risk management training across the organisation.
  • Ensure the business is compliant with regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with APRA, ASIC and other risk management obligations.
  • Monitor, review and communicate regulatory and legislative changes that may impact the organisation.
  • Conduct annual reviews and alignment of operational resilience activities.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of company policies in the policy register.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, management and visibility of issues and incidents.

Requirements

  • 1+ year risk or compliance experience.
  • 1-2 years plus financial services (preferably insurance) experience.
