Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Surgical ward.

The successful candidates will be offered Permanent Part Time employment with flexibility in Full-Time Equivalent arrangements.

You will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster, including early, late, night and weekend shifts.

This role involves caring for patients recovering from surgery, providing patient-centred care and promoting a high level of clinical standards within the unit.

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
  • Work effectively within a highly skilled team environment.
  • Demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • 12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desired but not essential).
  • Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care.
  • Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of healthcare practice.
  • A collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
