Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people in our residential care homes. This includes leading a team of residential care workers and ensuring that the highest standards of care and support are maintained.

You will work closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator to develop and implement programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • A relevant Diploma with substantial experience in residential care, including four additional mandatory competencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Proven skills and experience in developing behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location:

This role is based in Footscray, VIC, with opportunities to work with our team across multiple locations.
