Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to assist with the supervision of operations at the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) within the regional Albury Waste Management Centre.

About the Role: As a key member of the Communities for Recovery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the MRF, including supervising staff, managing resources, and implementing environmental sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff at the MRF, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize operational efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives, including recycling programs and waste reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant experience in waste management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
