We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at the Limestone Coast Local Health Network. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our nursing staff to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and promoting continuity and consistency in patient care.
- Contribute to ward/unit/service management responsibilities, including performance management, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, and financial planning.
- Assist in implementing practice changes and improvements, collaborating with other ANUMs and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to drive positive outcomes in the ward.
- Deliver nursing services across various health settings with proficiency, ensuring adherence to practice standards and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff, including student nurses, enrolled nurses, and junior registered nurses.
- Engage in ward/unit management activities, such as monitoring financials, supplies, and ensuring effective staff work allocation and attendance management.
- Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Experience: At least 3 years of post-registration experience or current classification as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
- Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Attributes: Creativity, innovation, and flexibility in addressing healthcare challenges. Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and Quality Improvement Systems.
