Job Description:

As an Energy Portfolio Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing energy portfolios for various clients. Your expertise and knowledge of the energy industry will enable you to craft tailored energy strategies that meet their unique needs and goals.

You will analyze and interpret energy consumption data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with internal teams to gain a deep understanding of their energy requirements and develop customized energy management strategies that align with their specific needs, sustainability targets, and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with internal teams to gain a deep understanding of their energy requirements.
  • Developing customized energy management strategies that align with the specific needs of the client, sustainability targets, and regulatory obligations.
  • Staying abreast of energy market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to provide timely and accurate advice.
  • Recommending and implementing energy efficiency measures, renewable energy solutions, and demand-side management initiatives.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and providing tailored risk management strategies to mitigate potential market fluctuations.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and performance evaluations, presenting key findings in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Engaging in strategic discussions with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of energy solutions across various projects.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor for all energy-related matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in energy portfolio management or energy consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the energy industry, including electricity and gas markets, regulatory frameworks, and pricing structures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and modelling tools, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with energy modelling software and demand response programs is advantageous.
