Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineer to drive engineering decisions and platform solutions that align with long-term strategic architecture. This role involves driving large-scale platform implementations from design to production, maintaining quality documentation and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring platforms and services are designed for resilience, scalability, and performance. They will also identify and lead automation and optimisation initiatives focused on cost, availability, and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in large enterprise environments, applying Agile and Lean practices to deliver complex solutions.
  • Proven expertise with public cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Solid understanding of FinOps practices and experience in cloud cost optimisation within multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive change and foster collaboration across teams.
  • Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across broad stakeholder groups.
