Service Supervisor Job Description

This role is for an experienced and motivated individual to provide technical guidance and leadership to our service coordinators and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS responsibilities, prioritizing a safety-first culture within the team
  • Mentor, guide and support the team to improve performance and efficiencies through training, performance appraisals and performance management.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources in line with customer requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support to service team members
  • Supervise time sheet accuracy and sub-contract documentation to enable prompt job costing
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations for service activities
  • Support existing customers through maintaining strong communication while proactively resolving issues
  • Drive compliance with safety and quality lead indicators for the department. Encourage active participation from the workgroup in hazard reporting, safety conversations and vehicle pre-starts
  • Ensure the Service Department tooling and equipment remains inspected, calibrated, and compliant per company policy
Requirements:
  • Strong technical understanding of earthmoving equipment or relevant trade qualifications
  • Leadership skills and experience in supervising a diverse team of high performing trade staff
