Senior Food Safety Specialist

Our organization seeks a dedicated Food Safety Advisor to lead our Food Safety Program and drive excellence in compliance, assurance, and capability development.
About The Position- You will play a pivotal role in implementing and continuously improving our Food Safety Management System.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure adherence to legislation, industry standards, and customer expectations—ultimately safeguarding the health and wellbeing of guests and staff.
- Deliver food safety and hygiene training to site personnel
- Support catering and site managers in applying food safety requirements and best practices
- Promote awareness and escalate food safety concerns across all levels
- Monitor compliance to meet stringent customer expectations
- Provide expert guidance on food safety matters and control procedures
- Develop and maintain comprehensive food safety documentation, training materials, and audit reports
- Conduct internal audits, support third-party inspections, and perform microbiological sampling and testing
- Lead assurance activities, including investigations, system performance analysis, and recommendations for process improvements
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality, food safety, quality assurance, or a similar field
- Strong knowledge of microbiology, food safety controls, legislation, and regulations
- Experience with HACCP / ISO 22000, internal audits, and team leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate and coach effectively
- Detail-oriented with solid time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems, with professional presentation and independence
