About the Role
SSI Australia is seeking a skilled Allied Health Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions to participants of our Case Assessment Clinical Team (CACT) part of our Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS).
Key Responsibilities
- Determine the nature of the participant's situation by interviewing the participant, assessing and accessing medical, psychological, emotional, and social information, and making on-site visits.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans to address offending risk and Allied Health concerns.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement treatment plans to help participants address current struggles.
- Attend case conferences and advocate for participants.
- Undertake a range of casework support responsibilities (e.g. maintaining accurate and relevant participant records) to assist in reporting, information sharing, and legal requirements.
- Support participants in crisis, including implementing safety plans; and working with Allied Health services and family members.
- Support participants to develop and maintain independent living skills.
Requirements
- Completed a four-year undergraduate degree or a two-year Master's degree accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers or Enrolled/Registered Nurse with Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
- Experiencing working with clients from multicultural backgrounds; working with offenders preferred.
