Ignite the senses of young minds through culinary experiences. We are seeking a passionate chef to join our team and prepare delicious food that promotes children's health and wellbeing.

The Role: Prepare and serve four nutritious meals daily for our childcare centre. The position offers 25 hours per week with access to a fully equipped kitchen and opportunities to engage in cooking activities with the children's rooms each month.

  • Develop seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to individual requirements and promote children's health and wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the centre community.
  • Ensure best practice food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it.
  • Awareness of your personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws.
  • Current Working with Children's Check (QLD Blue Card).
  • Experience cooking for children, as the role involves preparing meals that meet individual needs, including allergies, dietary requirements, and accommodating selective or particular eating habits—while ensuring meals remain healthy and balanced.
