Academic Leadership Opportunity

A dedicated professional plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive culture across the school community.

They lead the development of the academic program, providing expert guidance to teachers within their area of responsibility.

The Academic Leader guides the delivery of a relevant, stimulating, and effective teaching program, promoting a safe, challenging, and inspirational environment that aligns with the School's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the scope and sequence of the academic program
  • Provide expert advice to teachers within their area of responsibility
  • Guide the delivery of a relevant, stimulating, and effective teaching program
  • Promote a safe, challenging, and inspirational environment
  • Maintain the growth of a high-performance culture of continuous improvement

Collaboration and Reporting Structure:

The Academic Leader works closely with fellow professionals, Heads of Curriculum, and the Head of Learning Enhancement to promote teaching and learning as the core business of the School.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education degree or higher
  • Current registration, or immediate eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
