The Austin Health Orthotic and Prosthetic Department is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Orthotist to join our team. As a Graduate Orthotist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development and improvement of our orthotics and prosthetics service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services to patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of our orthotics and prosthetics service, including quality and education initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in the field.
- Masters of Clinical Prosthetic and Orthotics (or Bachelor equivalent)
- AOPA membership with certification as an Orthotist / Prosthetist
- Interest in an area of clinical practice relevant to Austin Health (Musculoskeletal, Spinal Injury and pressure injury management)
- Working knowledge of external funding streams such as NDIS, TAC, Work Cover and SWEP
