Key Role in Federal Government Agency

Freedom of Information (FOI) Officers are required to join a 6-month contract with possible extension or Section 26 transfers.

This role involves providing legislation and expert advice on FOI and Privacy Act matters. You will engage, collaborate and build key relationships with stakeholders and bring a continuous improvement approach to educating staff on the FOI Act and privacy matters.

You will prepare privacy impact assessments and develop strategy to improve legislative methodologies.

Required skills and qualifications:

Strong understanding of the FOI Act and Privacy Act

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Absorbent attitude towards learning new information and processes
