Job Title: Trade Surveillance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Trade Surveillance Manager to join our team. This role requires a professional with expertise in monitoring and analyzing trading activities, identifying potential threats, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity and energy markets, as well as experience working with complex data structures and systems.

As a Trade Surveillance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily surveillance analysis, conducting deep dive investigations, and reviewing non-exchange based on OTC activities.

You will also act as an escalation point for junior members of the team, ensuring investigations are adequately documented and followed through to resolution in a timely manner.

Additionally, you will work with local Compliance staff to determine an appropriate and coordinated level of surveillance, identify gaps and weaknesses in the current surveillance program, and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of surveillance solutions.

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in commodity and energy OTC markets, with knowledge of operations and potential manipulation across business processes, flows, booking methodologies, and client interactions.
  • Familiarity with trading systems, their data structures, and interfaces.
  • Strong data manipulation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
