Children's Health Queensland is a renowned leader in paediatric healthcare. We're seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Consultation Liaison team at the Queensland Children's Hospital.

The Integrated Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides complex secondary and tertiary level health care. Our Consultation Liaison (CL) team operates during business hours and is located on level 7 of the Queensland Children's Hospital.

We require a skilled Clinical Nurse to provide advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of patients with complex care needs. This role will work autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and be pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of mental health specialist nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced clinical care to infants, children and young people (0-18 years old) who have both complex medical conditions and severe mental health issues.
  • Conduct mental health assessments and interventions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented care.
  • Work within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse qualification with current registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., mental health, child and youth care).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a mental health or paediatric setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
