Join a specialist women's legal service as a Deputy Principal Legal Officer, providing high-quality legal advice and representation in complex matters.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality legal advice, casework, and representation in complex matters
  • Providing trauma-informed support in areas including domestic and family violence, child protection, and family law
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of solicitors, including onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development
  • Acting as the Principal Legal Officer during periods of absence
  • Leading outreach services within regional communities
  • Designing and delivering community legal education workshops and resources
  • Strengthening relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia and eligibility to hold a Northern Territory Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 4 years post-admission legal experience in a relevant practice area
  • Leadership and mentoring experience within a legal practice (highly regarded)

  • Competitive salary of $119,093 - $124,073 per annum

  • 6 weeks annual leave, with 17.5% leave loading
  • Tiered personal/carer's leave, increasing with years of service
