Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on accelerating Australia's transition to a future powered by renewable energy.

The successful candidate will be able to join the Assets Management team and work closely with the Investment, Funds and Asset Management teams.

This role will sit at the intersection between these teams and be responsible for supporting the assets team with looking after the operational portfolio of assets.

The goal is to drive returns for investors and ensure project value is maximised.

Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling skills are essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing, maintaining and validating financial models
  2. Updating financial models for actual operating results
  3. Continuous improvement of financial models, including reducing the risk of error
  4. Ensuring modelling is aligned with actual project performance
  5. Ensuring the models can be used quickly and easily to aid decision making
  6. Ability to restructure and make significant changes to financial models
  7. Playing a central role in the quarterly asset valuations process, including refreshing financial models with updates to assumptions on a regular basis
  8. Working with various teams and external partners for information to feed into the valuation process
  9. Assisting with the preparation and presentation of asset and fund valuation reporting to Valuation Committees
  10. Performing scenario and sensitivity analysis at an asset level to assess impact on asset returns
  11. Assisting in liaising with model auditors, answering audit questions and making relevant changes to models, where required
  12. Assisting with distributions and cashflows for operating assets
  13. Working closely with the Assets team to drive performance of the operating portfolio including reviewing and analysing operational and financial data to assist with decision making and to ensure accuracy
  14. Assessing value creation opportunities across the operating portfolio and building business cases
  15. Working with the wider teams, external stakeholders and consultants to drive asset performance
  16. Assisting with all asset management and investor reporting
  17. Assisting with loan compliance and lender reporting for Project Finance
  18. Driving automation in asset management reporting and processes, for example KPI dashboards
