Job Description

The role of Junior Fibre Designer involves delivering end-to-end services for FTTP design, encompassing High Level Design, Detail Design, As-Built and Completion activities in line with NBN Co guidelines.

This entails timely delivery, cost management, and quality assurance for all designs, as well as technical and constructability oversight for detail design on NBN ODM projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of designs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Closely work with the Construction Team, Land Access Team, Surveyors, and Field Managers to ensure project priorities are met and issues are addressed.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to manage design objections and coordinate accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager and Project Manager on variations and contractual notices associated with completion of design activities.
  • Review standards and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsive and flexible to dynamic client demands and needs while maintaining focus on protecting Ventia's commercial interests.
  • Implement and maintain 'safety in design' protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Qualifications in Engineering or similar are an advantage. Relevant experience in telecommunications or construction industries is essential.
