Risk Management Specialist

The Australian Red Cross is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Risk to lead the second-line risk advisory function. This role will ensure the risk management framework is contemporary and fit-for-purpose to support the identification and management of strategic and operational risks.
The Senior Manager Risk will provide expert advice to senior leaders to support the consistent operationalisation of the risk management framework and effective identification, assessment, and management of risks, including opportunities. This role will also oversee the maintenance of consistent stakeholder engagement across all risk functions and establish and maintain an appropriate level of risk governance and oversight activities.
About YouWe are looking for an individual with experience gained in complex and dynamic operating environments. You will have an expert ability to analyse multiple datasets to identify trends and anomalies to support risk-based decision making. Proven success in leading 2nd line risk advisory functions and influencing teams in the application of robust and effective risk management processes in complex organisational environments is essential.
You will possess highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and consultation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Extensive experience in designing and enhancing risk insights reporting is also required.
