Welding and Fabrication Expert

The primary objective of this role is to provide high-quality educational services, training, and assessment to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. This may also involve consultancy services to industry clients.
TAFE SA invites applications from suitable candidates who meet the outlined selection criteria within the Role Descriptor and Industry Addendum.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging teaching and training across various programs and qualifications
- Develop learning materials, assessments, and evaluation tools that promote academic success
- Mentor and support students to achieve their goals
- Contribute to curriculum development and review processes
- Collaborate with colleagues to design innovative learning solutions
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in fabrication and welding with current hands-on industry involvement
- Trade qualifications to a minimum of Certificate III
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)
- Strong expertise in advanced welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding, along with comprehensive fabrication skills
- Understanding of current fabrication industry trends, knowledge, and cultural practices
- Familiarity with the MEM Training Package and its application in vocational education
- Proficient in using digital tools to support training delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A valid DHS Working with Children Check issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment
- This role requires relocation to Whyalla
