Job Description

The role of Maintenance Planning Officer is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance services to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the provision of asset maintenance works and operations conducted by 3rd party contractors, ensuring that maintenance is delivered consistently across our assets. This includes assisting in the scheduling, development, implementation, and monitoring of planned maintenance management processes and contracts to deliver testing and inspections.

Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating with the maintenance team reactive and planned maintenance service requests for 3rd party contractor engagement, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures for works not delivered by the regional maintenance teams across all as-built assets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive supervision experience, as well as extensive experience managing 3rd party contractors and contracts to ensure best outcomes. Additionally, they will have knowledge and understanding of the scope, function, and nature of mechanical/civil assets used in water treatment and bulk water storage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Associate diploma in engineering, or an appropriate mechanical trade qualification.
  • Extensive supervision experience.
  • Extensive experience managing 3rd party contractors and contracts.
  • Sound systems (MMS) skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
