About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in the West Musgrave project.

This is a permanent full-time role, requiring FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 off roster. Dayshift only positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to health and safety protocols, as well as environmental responsibility.
  • Maintain a high profile in promoting safe working conditions and practices to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Ensure thorough risk assessments are conducted and utilise SAP for updating work order history and handovers.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, attending breakdowns, and running complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of all infrastructure equipment.
  • Work with schematic drawings, prints, plans, or manuals, and record any modifications.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives effectively.
  • Provide input into root cause investigation and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist, Hydraulics, or Heavy Duty Fitter).
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
  • Certificate III in Mines Rescue (highly desirable, upskilling available).
  • Basic Computer Literacy with SAP experience advantageous.
  • EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Confined Space, and Working at Heights Certificates (Desirable).
