Job Opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter/Technician

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade certification or qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience
  • A background in defence and/or marine industry is highly advantageous but not essential
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Punctuality and attention to detail
  • A positive and proactive approach to safety
  • National Police Clearance
  • White Card
  • Current Driver's License
  • Long-term commitment to the company
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Resident
