**Service Lead Position**

The Service Lead will oversee a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality services to children, youth, and families in statutory care. The role requires providing operational oversight, mentoring, and leadership to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage intake, assessment, and care planning processes ensuring compliance with child protection legislation and best practice.

- Supervise and mentor support workers and practitioners promoting excellence in their work.

- Collaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

- Foster culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities promoting equity and access.

- Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation driving quality improvements.

- Participate in after-hours and on-call support as required maintaining a flexible approach.

**Requirements**

- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field demonstrating academic rigor.

- At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services showcasing depth of knowledge.

- 1+ years' experience leading a team in a care or support setting highlighting leadership skills.

- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development principles.

- Demonstrated understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems ensuring alignment.

- Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families, and communities promoting cultural awareness.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills essential for success.
