About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
  • Support clients in Residential Aged Care settings in accordance with Allied Health Professionals treatment plans.
  • Transport residents to and from therapy sessions, set up and pack away equipment, and perform administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
  • Run exercise groups and programs, and support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
  • Consult with physiotherapists and occupational therapists on adaptations, changes, and progressions of treatment plans for clients.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
Requirements
  • Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
  • Healthcare knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
