Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to our clients, enabling them to live their lives to the fullest. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care and grooming
  • Accompanying clients to community facilities and events
  • Providing transportation to appointments and activities
  • Administering medication and assisting with household chores
  • Engaging in educational and social activities with clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Empathy, honesty, flexibility, and a warm and encouraging demeanor
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • Patient, flexible, and understanding nature
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families
  • Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live dignified lives
  • Capacity to remain calm and rational in heightened and stressful situations

Qualifications and Certifications

We require:

  • NDIS Screening Card
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card
  • A valid Queensland Driver License (minimum P2 Green)
  • Evidence of your Right to Work in Australia
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for transporting clients
