About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) communications engineer to join our team at Raytheon Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, implementing, testing, and providing lifecycle support for the safe and secure delivery of MTTES components, modules, and subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engineering Solutions: Provide engineering solutions for the design, analysis, implementation, test, and lifecycle support of MTTES components, modules, and subsystems.
  2. System Change Proposals: Develop system change proposals using the change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
  3. Operational Support: Support operational MTTES systems regarding production and support of maintenance procedures, system troubleshooting, and liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff.
  4. RF Communications: Work with various RF communications aspects, including antenna co-site analysis, RF coverage analysis, and radiation hazard analysis.
Requirements
  1. A tertiary qualification (4-year engineering degree) and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in RF communications design within a process-driven engineering environment.
  2. Prior experience with ICT-networked RF communication systems.
  3. Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work.
  4. Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design practices.
  5. Eligibility for a security clearance at a level of Negative Vetting Level 1 with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
