Job Overview

This apprenticeship offers 4 years of on-the-job learning and structured training in metal fabrication, providing individuals with a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication Trade upon successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair Council assets under the guidance of experienced Supervisors and Coordinators.
  • Develop skills in various metal fabrication projects, including maintenance and repair work.
Eligibility and Contract
  • A fixed-term contract within the Assets and Facilities team is available for this position.
  • The apprenticeship is targeted at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, and applications are encouraged from candidates who identify as such.
  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia.
Work Arrangements
  • A 38-hour working week with flexible/hybrid work arrangements is offered.
  • Optional 9-day fortnight arrangements are also available.
