Senior Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service. As a key member of our Far North Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals and communities in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals with mild to moderate mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with community members, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement culturally appropriate holistic services
  • Conduct complex holistic clinical assessments and provide ongoing psychological therapies and counselling
  • Collaborate with other service providers to support inter-agency networks and improve mental health outcomes
Requirements
  • Registration with AHPRA or membership of the AASW
  • Formal qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in a relevant clinical field
  • Demonstrated experience in providing brief interventions and therapeutic counselling to clients of all ages
  • Demonstrated experience and respectful understanding of cultural diversity, including traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander views of health and wellness
