We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Cleanaway, a leading total waste management provider. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to reduce risks and prevent injuries and illnesses across our Solids Waste Services (SWS) sites in Queensland.
- Collaborate with site teams to identify and assess hazards, and develop and implement effective risk controls.
- Contribute to the development and review of our HSE Management Standards, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices.
- Support site-based HSE incident investigations and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Partner with key stakeholders to drive cultural change and embed a strong safety culture across our operations.
- You hold a tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety or a related field, and have certification in Training and Assessment (Cert IV).
- You have a proven track record of influencing and driving change through health and safety initiatives and programs.
- You possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
- You have previous experience working in blue-collar, high-risk industrial environments, and are familiar with industry-leading HSE practices.
