Support Workers play a vital role in delivering personalized care and support to individuals with various needs. This position is an opportunity for you to make a positive impact on people's lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with personal care tasks, including:
- Providing physical support for daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Engaging in social interactions to promote emotional well-being.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential in this role. Accurate documentation of care provided and observing changes in residents' conditions will also be expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks in a respectful manner.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers to promote independence.
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the care team.
- Participate in recreational activities and social events to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided.
Our ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support and experience working in aged care. They should demonstrate empathy and strong communication skills, with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
