Role and Responsibilities:
  • The primary role of an educator is to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing educational programs, building strong relationships with children and their families, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in children.

 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and deliver educational programs that cater to the needs of individual children, promoting their overall development and well-being.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with children and their families, providing regular updates on children's progress and involving parents in their child's learning journey.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
  • Collaborate with other educators and centre staff to achieve common goals and outcomes, ensuring a cohesive approach to childcare.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education, staying up-to-date with best practices and research.

 

Requirements:
  • A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent) is required for this position.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards is essential for success in this role.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check is mandatory for all employees in this position.
