Job Summary:

The role of Material Controller at Technical Resources is a critical position that involves reviewing blueprints and product specifications to accurately determine the amount of materials needed. This requires a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate calculations and efficient material management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Review: Review blueprints and product specifications to determine material requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Document overall material need, including codes, brands, and contact information for order processing.
  • Adjustments and Calculations: Adjust quantities for existing inventory and conventional sizes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to understand engineering documents and ensure accurate material management.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist in maintaining and operating a materials control system, and provide receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment to support construction and installation on site.
  • Adaptability: Work is subject to changing priorities and may require periodic review with other teams or work groups.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of principles and practices within a discipline, proficient communication, and ability to influence participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and reports.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the field, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
