Job Description

">The role involves providing evidence-based teaching and learning programs to support literacy development for students in Years 7–8.

  • Collaborate with the specialist Numeracy teacher and Learning Support Manager to deliver literacy and numeracy support programs.
  • Develop and implement a cross-curricular literacy program within English and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) contexts.
  • Utilise education assistants to maximise student learning opportunities and monitor progress.
  • Analyse data to differentiate instruction and support student progress and resilience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">The ideal candidate will have:
">
  • Qualification and/or experience in remedial literacy education.
  • Knowledge of the Western Australian English and HASS Curriculum.
  • Engagement with evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Excellent data analysis skills to monitor student progress.
  • Experience with standardised testing (ACER, PAT).
  • Engagement with Positive Behaviour Management Strategies.
