Job OverviewAs a Casual Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide practical support to clients with mental health challenges, helping them build skills and confidence to manage daily activities and reach their recovery goals.
- Work directly with clients to develop life skills, build routines, and achieve personal objectives.
- Provide practical assistance and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing recovery-focused activities tailored to each client's needs.
- Document client progress and communicate effectively to support individualised care plans.
- Previous experience in a mental health support role or similar position within the community or disability sector.
- Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field (or working toward these qualifications).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- An understanding of recovery-oriented and client-centered approaches.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse clients and varying support needs.
- A valid First Aid Certificate, driver's license, full comprehensive insurance, NDIS Worker Screening Card and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
