Empowering Lives: A Mental Health Support Role

This role involves building and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients and their support networks. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized plans that promote community inclusion and participation.
A key aspect of this role is facilitating trusting relationships with clients, which is essential for providing high-quality care. You will also assist in creating and implementing plans that help clients achieve their goals.
To be successful in this position, you will require a passion for working with people with disabilities and an understanding of person-centered practice. Relevant qualifications, experience, and certifications are also essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients
- Assisting in developing and implementing personalized plans
- Facilitating community inclusion and participation
- Providing support where required
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Certification in Disability (or equivalent)
- Manual Handling experience
- Reliable transportation for community access and participation
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver's License
