About the Role
The Dual Registered Nurse and Midwife is a key position within Calvary, responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment. This role is available on a flexible basis, either full-time, part-time, or casual.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant government health policies and procedures, the position description, code of conduct, and industrial agreements.
- Deliver direct care to mothers and newborns in Calvary's maternity unit.
- Provide direct care to all patients on St Gerard's ward (women's and children) and utilize a patient-centered approach to patient assessment.
- Maintain continuity of care for each patient.
Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as both a Nurse and a Midwife.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in a neonatal or maternity and acute care hospital setting.
- Bachelor Degree in Midwifery or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization.
