About the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic to work with a top-class transportation company. We require a skilled individual with post-apprenticeship experience who can assist our apprentices and contribute to maintaining our fleet to the highest level.

Main Responsibilities
  • Repair, replace, maintain, and diagnose high volumes of company vehicles, including prime movers, rigids, and trailers.
  • Complete repairs and work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Servicing vehicles in line with our company service schedule.
  • Assisting with major repairs such as rebuilds, midlife's, brake/bearing overhauls.
  • Accurate completion of all documentation associated with fleet maintenance and repairs.
  • Attending to breakdowns when required on a weekly roster.

About You
  • Mechanical trade qualification.
  • 10 years+ experience post-apprenticeship.
  • Proven competence in repairs and overhauls.
  • Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued.
  • Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW.
  • Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to guide and coach.
  • Motivated, reliable, and good work ethic.

Kenworth, DAF, and BPW experience will be highly regarded.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
