Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business is seeking a skilled professional to provide specialist taxation services. As a key member of the team, you will be required to provide expert advice on Fringe Benefits Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Payroll Tax and PAYG withholding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Prepare and submit: Fringe Benefits Tax returns, Goods and Services Tax and Business Activity Statements, Payroll tax returns, PAYG withholding">
  • Undertake research, analysis and investigation: into complex taxation and financial management issues and problems, implement effective solutions, including reconciliation and management of tax related general ledger accounts">
  • Provide accurate and timely advice: on operational issues, financial management policies, standards and systems">
  • Maintain and update procedures: and work instructions">
  • Contribute to team capability: through teaching, coaching, teamwork and information sharing">
  • Act as subject matter expert: contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance service delivery and improve operations">
  • Develop and maintain relationships: with clients, auditors, other stakeholders and management">
  • Contribute to a positive work environment: embracing human resource management practices, including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and performance management">
