Ground Penetrating Radar Specialist

This role involves the utilization of advanced ground penetrating radar (GPR) technology to identify voids, unconsolidated ground, and underground services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting GPR surveys, spatial modelling, and engineering surveying to support precision and accuracy in engineering design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site investigations utilizing GPR to report on voids and service locations.
  • Develop 3D underground models using spatial analysis techniques to enhance project outcomes.
  • Precision feature surveys using laser scanning to create accurate above-ground 3D models for engineering design purposes.
  • Ensure all set-out works are carried out in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated expertise in surveying, GPR, spatial analysis, contract management, and associated work practices.
  • Strong research abilities and innovative thinking to contribute high-level conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to relay information, influence others, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and co-ordinate workload, with minimal supervision, within specified timeframes.
  • Sound understanding of contemporary project management issues and trends.
  • A current driver's licence is required.
  • An Associate Diploma in Engineering Surveying or equivalent qualification is necessary.
  • Safety Awareness card (White Card) and Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Control (TC) Accreditation are also required.
  • A National Police Clearance (less than three months old) is mandatory.
