We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Director to join our team at Optimum Consulting Group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the organisation's asset management function, including strategy and process development. They will manage and mentor the existing asset management team, oversee the growth of the team as the business grows, and coordinate asset management responsibilities at the fund and individual asset level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the organisation's asset management function, including overall strategy and process development
  • Manage and mentor the existing asset management team, overseeing team growth as the business expands
  • Coordinate asset management responsibilities at the fund and individual asset level, liaising with investment committees
  • Manage overall asset performance, enhance cash flow, and work with the broader investment team to drive the annual valuation process
  • Develop and implement asset repositioning and value-add initiatives to maximize value
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Property Management teams to optimize tenant mix, devise effective marketing plans, and control related expenses to maximize net operating income
  • Oversee leasing and project refurbishments
  • Accountability to the ESG function, including reporting and management of relevant reports
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, property, or a related field
  • A background in asset management, commercial, property management, funds management, or similar
  • Knowledge of ESG and reporting requirements
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
