This role will significantly influence the exceptional potential of our business and the evolution of the medicinal cannabis industry.

You will report directly to the CEO and help drive growth while ensuring governance and regulatory requirements are met.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sound commercial and legal advice to the executive management team through contract reviews.
  • Ensure a robust system for contract management and filings.
  • Advise the company on claims and litigation, working alongside external counsel.
  • Manage the Risk Committee and report to the Board and Executive team on key business risks and governance or regulatory issues.
  • Advise the Board on responsibilities and duties under corporate governance regulations and other regulatory matters.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor our internal compliance framework, including governance policies.
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to drive growth while balancing risk.
Requirements:
  • 10 years post-admission experience, preferably in-house for a large corporation or in a top-tier firm.
  • AICD Company Secretary qualification or 5+ years performing this function for a high-growth business.
  • Experience in regulated industries, especially healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or cannabis, is highly desirable.
  • UK experience is also highly desirable.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially savvy and able to balance risk.
  • Strong influencer and creative thinker.
