About the Role
Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our Climate, Environment and Engagement team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for partnering with our Commercial Director to develop and implement financial and commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Senior Finance Business Partner for the Climate, Environment and Engagement Managing Director and Service Group Leaders, providing strategic and operational financial guidance and insights to ensure the achievement of business group objectives.
- Manage, develop and oversee the implementation of financial and commercial strategies, including setting business performance goals, monthly review processes, and reporting.
- Prepare and manage business plans and reforecasts, including identifying and implementing initiatives to drive business performance and ensure efficient use of business group resources.
- Perform strategic financial analysis to review business and market performance and key trends against strategic priorities.
- Ensure robust review processes are in place for projects in delivery, including revenue recognition, cash flow management, and project cost control.
Requirements
- A relevant technical qualification and technical post-tertiary qualifications, including CA or CPA qualifications or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar position, coupled with a high level of commercial acumen.
- Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between Finance/Commercial initiatives and business strategy.
- Significant knowledge of Finance/Commercial policies, processes, and talent management practices.
- Ability to collect and synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence.
