About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and proactive individual to grow and elevate our digital presence across all platforms. As a creative storyteller, you will be responsible for sharing engaging content with precision, fostering genuine online communities, and tracking performance to keep us ahead of the curve.

  • Tell stories that inspire and connect with our audience, showcasing the wonder of Hamilton Island with the world.
  • Execute best-in-class social strategies and manage scheduling and publishing across all digital channels.
  • Be the warm, helpful, and consistent brand voice in comments, DMs, and tagged content.
  • Build an active, positive community while escalating potential PR issues when needed.
  • Monitor performance, track metrics, and provide regular insights and recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of trends, algorithms, and emerging platform features to maximize reach.
  • Support campaigns, events, and influencer collaborations to drive engagement and awareness.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A creative and tech-savvy approach to storytelling and content creation.
  • At least 2 years' experience in social media and community management (tourism or lifestyle brands ideal).
  • A strong understanding of platform mechanics, algorithms, and content best practices.
  • Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Later, and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator).
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills - quick, clear, and on-brand.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities with ease.
